Neckline is finished in a double layer of muslin and ribbon lace and fastened down the front with ivory mother-of-pearl buttons. Double layered front in stripe over plain voile with inset bands of ribbon lace armholes have a pleated-on circular frill in voile creating a ruffle cap sleeve. Reverse has horizontal panels of self stripe with insect bands of ribbon lace and gathering across the back waste creating a soft peplum. Double hem with a longer under layer in plain voile.
